As of January 1, 2019, the Centers of Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) require hospitals to be more transparent regarding the cost of care. CMS requires hospitals to provide a listing of current standard charges for each item and service provided by the hospital, as well as a listing of standard charges by Diagnosis-Related Group (DRG).
Mary Greeley Medical Center is committed to transparency and supports this opportunity to help our patients better understand the cost of their care. Please keep in mind the numbers listed here do not represent what a patient will actually pay after receiving services from Mary Greeley. Many factors impact what you will ultimately pay, including, and most significantly, your health insurance plan. Also, charges for Radiologists, Anesthesiologists, Pathologists, and most Physicians are not reflected in this list. They are typically billed separately by your doctor.
You also will notice the term “Variable” on pharmaceutical charges. This is because drug charges are impacted by a variety of factors, including manufacturer cost, doctors’ orders, a patient’s condition, the type of care provided, and associated supplies.
Mary Greeley will continue to review and improve the information provided here.
