This program will focus on the Wellbeing and Exercise Laboratory in ISU’s Kinesiology Department, including overall research projects and a specific focus on the mental and behavioral effects of the pandemic.

Presented by Dr. Jacob Meyer, Ph.D. Assistant Professor of Kinesiology and Director of the Wellbeing and Exercise Laboratory, Iowa State University.

This program will focus on the Wellbeing and Exercise Laboratory in ISU’s Kinesiology Department, including overall research projects and a specific focus on the mental and behavioral effects of the pandemic. Dr. Meyer will discuss physical activity, sedentary, and screen time changes many of us made in response to the pandemic and how those changes were associated with mental health. The laboratory is beginning to explore the effects of the pandemic and will share research on the behavior-mental health relationships during the pandemic specific to older adults.
