Vickie Newell, Manager, Older Adult and Volunteer Services
Vickie Newell has worked at Mary Greeley Medical Center since February 1991 and currently serves as the Volunteer and Older Adult Services Manager. Prior to that, she was the Community Relations Assistant and a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Newell received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Leisure Studies with an emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation from Iowa State University in 1990. She has served on the Heartland Senior Services Board of Director, Story County Health Lifestyles Task Force, and currently serves on a Healthiest Ames sub-committee focusing on older adult physical activity.
Jennifer Bahlmann-Ballantine, Gift Shop Manager
Jennifer Bahlmann Ballantine began working at Mary Greeley in January 2010, as The Auxiliary Gift Shop Manager & Buyer. Prior to Mary Greeley, Bahlmann Ballantine worked for almost 20 years with Talbots, managing stores in Ames, Iowa City, and Des Moines. She graduated from Wartburg College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts with a Public Relations emphasis, and a French Minor.
Wendy DeMatto, Volunteer Coordinator
Wendy DeMatto joined the External Relations team at Mary Greeley Medical Center in December of 2014. Prior to accepting this position, DeMatto spent over 12 years working in churches as the office manager and director of community life. She also spent 20 years teaching in the Ames community. She has a Bachelor of Art in Elementary Education with minors in Psychology and Art from Morningside College.
Sally Rollins, Art Coordinator
Sally Rollins has been the Art Coordinator at Mary Greeley Medical Center since 2000. She is also the curator for the John and Mary Pappajohn Art Collection and Foundation and an active potter. Prior to these positions she was the Art Museum Director for Des Moines University. Rollins has a Bachelor of Science in Studio Art (with a concentration in ceramics) and a double minor in Art History and Philosophy from Skidmore College, Saratoga Springs New York. She also has a Master of Science in Health Care Administration from Des Moines University.
