Giving Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement taking place on November 28, 2023 - a day that encourages people to do good. This year, we raise funds in support of Mental Health. 

The National Alliance on Mental Illness estimates that one in five adults in the United States experiences mental illness each year, and one out of four families have a relative coping with a mental illness- mental illness does not discriminate on the basis of gender, age, race or socio-economic status.

Because of the support of YOU, our donors, progress is being made.

Your generosity has helped Mary Greeley to expand services in our community by

• opening a new, advanced inpatient Behavioral Health Unit
• launching ARCH (Alternative Response for Community Health) in partnership with Ames Police and ISU Police
• expanding and improving Behavioral Health Services in our Emergency Department
• opening the Subacute/Transitional Living Center

One of the greatest challenges a person with a mental illness faces today is access to care, with your support, we can continue to strengthen and expand the mental health services in our community.
