Guardian of Excellence Award

Mary Greeley Medical Center received
the Guardian of Excellence Award
for clinical quality.

The award recognizes top performance in several key clinical areas, including acute myocardial infarction, heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical infection prevention. Mary Greeley had to reach the 95th percentile of performance in clinical quality to earn the Guardian of Excellence Award. Press Ganey used clinical quality performance data from 2012 to determine the hospital’s overall performance.

“We have stated that quality care and patient safety are our key priorities, and this award speaks volumes to our commitment,” says Brian Dieter, president and CEO of Mary Greeley Medical Center. “We achieved the 95th percentile, which puts us in the top 5 percent of Press Ganey clients. This is proof that we are delivering on our promise to our patients.”

Press Ganey partners with more than 10,000 health care organizations worldwide to create and sustain high-performing organizations, and, ultimately, improve the overall health care experience.
