AMES, IA – Despite the snowy weather, over 100 people recently attending the Annual George Hegstrom Symposium at Mary Greeley Medical Center.

James Painter, PhD, an expert on food psychology and nutrition from the University of Texas – Houston School of Public Health, presented the program. He gave two lectures, Current Issues: Fats in Vogue, Wheat Woes, Uh-Oh GMOs and Food Psychology: Why We Eat More Than We Think.
