A Note About Visitors
At Birthways, we understand that moms want friends and loved ones to meet the baby and share in the experience. For the baby's health, we ask:
- Children under 14 not visit when the baby is in the room
- Siblings of the baby are allowed
- All guests should stop by the nurses' station before visiting
Our Staff
Caring, highly trained professionals with many years of experience staff the Birthways unit. Our registered nurses, obstetricians, gynecologists, pediatricians, family practitioners, midwives, lactation consultants and breastfeeding educators are dedicated professionals who truly love working with women, newborns and families.
Preparing for Home
Each new mom meets with a discharge planner before leaving the hospital to make sure all her questions are answered and that she has everything she needs at home. We also offer a no-charge follow-up visit for mother and baby either at home or at our health clinic.
