Gary Botine Named CFO of Mary Greeley Medical Center
Gary Botine has been named
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
at Mary Greeley Medical Center.
AMES, IA – Gary Botine has been named vice president and chief financial officer of Mary Greeley Medical Center.
Botine will assume his new duties in early spring. As CFO, Botine will be a member of Mary Greeley’s senior management team and will be responsible for all financial operations and financial management for the medical center and the Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation.

A longtime Ames resident, Botine has served as vice president for human resources at Danfoss Power Solutions since July 2013. In this position he has been responsible for human resources functions for an organization of 6,500 employees. Botine joined Sauer-Danfoss (now Danfoss Power Solutions) in 1993 and has served in a number of leadership positions with the global manufacturing company in the areas of human resources, finance, manufacturing, and information technology. Botine began his career in public accounting with Deloitte & Touche and Grant Thornton. He is a certified public accountant.
He has been active in a variety of community organizations in Ames and Story County, including the United Way of Story County, the Ames Public Library Board of Directors and the Ames Chamber of Commerce.
Botine succeeds Mike Tretina, who left Mary Greeley in late 2013 for a new position in Delaware.
