“We are extremely grateful to the more than 1,200 individuals and businesses who share our ‘Extraordinary Vision’ for healthcare in central Iowa,” said Brian Dieter, President and CEO of Mary Greeley Medical Center. “The success of this campaign is a testament to the generosity of our communities and will have a tremendous impact for generations to come.”

The Extraordinary Visions Campaign was led by Campaign Co-Chairs Dr. Jon Fleming, and Dan and Sharon Krieger.  “It has been an honor to serve as co-chairs for this campaign,” said Sharon Krieger, Campaign Co-Chair. “Many volunteers helped to make this campaign a success, including Honorary Co-Chairs Marge and Erb Hunziker and the members of our Campaign Cabinet. They have done so much for Mary Greeley and our community.”

Campaign Cabinet members include Tanya Anderson, Sarah Buck, Mary Christy, Deb Fennelly, Steve and Tami Goodhue, Dean and Darlene Hunziker, Dr. Chuck Jons, Kevin Kinzler, John and Jean Langeland, Warren and Bev Madden, Jim Mason, Ken McCuskey, Ron McMillen, Tom Pohlman, Dr. John and Suzy Shierholz, and Don and Barb Wandling.

The Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation launched the Extraordinary Visions campaign in September 2011. The $6 million campaign will support the medical center’s $129 million building project, the largest in the hospital’s history.

The Extraordinary Visions project includes a new six-story tower with larger patient rooms that will provide better healing environments and accommodate new technologies. Other features of the project include an expanded emergency department, a new main entrance with an enclosed skywalk, and a new power plant.
