Mary Greeley Medical Center's Annual Hope Run for Hospice set for June 16
AMES, IA – Mary Greeley Medical Center will host the 12th Annual Hope Run for Hospice on Saturday, June 16.
The event will include 5K and 10K races, a non-competitive one mile walk/run, and the Hope Run Jr. for youth ages 10 and under.
All funds raised at the event benefit the Israel Family Hospice House, a 12-bed inpatient unit in west Ames, operated by HOMEWARD Hospice of Mary Greeley Medical Center. The staff and volunteers at the hospice house are specially trained in the various aspects of end-of-life care and focus on the physical, emotional and spiritual comfort for both the patient and their family.
New to the Hope Run this year, participants can raise additional funds for the Israel Family Hospice House by creating a personal or team fundraising web page.
The route starts at Ames Middle School (3915 Mortensen Road in Ames). The last mile of the route runs behind the hospice house, finishing on the Ames Middle School Track.
