Mary Greeley Medical Center Hosts Groundbreaking Event

 

AMES, IA – Mary Greeley Medical Center will formally launch its Extraordinary Visions project with a groundbreaking on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 4 p.m. in the lower level of the medical center’s parking structure.

Extraordinary Visions is a $129 million building project that will enhance patient care at the medical center. Key components of the project include a six-story patient tower; larger inpatient rooms; an enclosed skywalk connecting the main building and the parking ramp; and a relocation and expansion of the Emergency Department. The project will be done in phases and is expected to be completed in 2015.

The groundbreaking event will feature brief comments from Brian Dieter, president and CEO of Mary Greeley Medical Center; Sarah Buck, chairperson, Mary Greeley Medical Center Board of Trustees; Ann Campbell, Mayor of Ames; and Jon Fleming, M.D., co-chair, Extraordinary Visions Campaign. A groundbreaking ceremony will be followed by a reception with refreshments.
