Scholarship Opportunities Available Through Medical Center
AMES
, IA - Mary Greeley Medical Center has several scholarship opportunities for area high school seniors, nursing students, and Mary Greeley Medical Center employees pursuing a graduate degree. The Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation is accepting applications for the Anna May Allan Endowed Nursing Scholarship, the J. Ben Buck Scholarship, the Helen Sidles Undergraduate Nursing Scholarship and the Kimberly A. Russel Auxiliary Endowed Scholarship. The Auxiliary is offering 15 scholarships to area seniors. Applications are due by Wednesday, March 31. Scholarships will be awarded in April.

Anna May Allan Endowed Nursing Scholarship
The Anna May Allan Endowed Nursing Scholarship is $2,500 awarded to an Iowa high school senior or graduate pursing the study of nursing. To qualify students must have achieved a cumulative 3.0 GPA in their most recent level of education and demonstrate a financial need.
J. Ben Buck Scholarship
The J. Ben Buck Scholarship is $500 awarded to a student pursuing a health-related career. To qualify students must have achieved a cumulative 3.0 GPA in their most recent level of education. Preference is given to students who are graduates of Ames High School. If no qualified graduates from Ames High School apply, then preference will be given to students who are graduates of high schools located in Story County. Scholarship recipients may reapply annually if they have maintained a 3.0 GPA in their most recent level of education.
Helen Sidles Undergraduate Nursing Scholarship
Each year the Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation awards two $1,000 scholarships to nursing students entering into their final year of nursing school. To qualify students must have achieved a cumulative 2.7 GPA in the most recent level of education. One scholarship will be awarded to a Mary Greeley Medical Center employee who is currently a nursing student, and one will be awarded to a nursing student who is not employed at Mary Greeley Medical Center.
Kimberly A. Russel Auxiliary Endowed Scholarship
The Kimberly A. Russel Auxiliary Endowed Scholarship fund supports an annual scholarship award of $500 to a graduate student employed by Mary Greeley Medical Center. To qualify recipients must have achieved a cumulative 3.0 GPA in their most recent level of education.

Auxiliary Health Career Scholarship
The Mary Greeley Medical Center Auxiliary offers 15 $1,000 scholarships to high school seniors planning a career in health care. A minimum of two will be designated to children who currently have a parent(s) or guardian(s) who work or volunteer at Mary Greeley Medical Center.
The Auxiliary scholarships are awarded to young people who attend the following high schools: Ames, Ballard-Huxley, Boone, Collins-Maxwell, Colo-NESCO, Gilbert, Nevada and Roland-Story.
Selections will be made based on scholastic performance, activities in school and community, financial need and citizenship. The Auxiliary Scholarship Committee will select the recipients and notify all applicants by the end of April.
