Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation Presents $750,000 to Medical Center for Diabetes and Nutrition Education Center

AMES , IA - Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation Board President John Langeland presented a check for $750,000 to the medical center last month. The funds were raised through the Campaign to Reach, Teach and Treat, which raised nearly $1.9 million to support the Mary Greeley Medical Center Diabetes and Nutrition Education Center. The funds will support construction costs, and the remainder will be used to establish an endowment for ongoing expenses.

"Without support from our communities, the Diabetes and Nutrition Education Center would not have been possible," said Melissa Johansen, Mary Greeley Medical Center External Relations director. "We are grateful to all the businesses and individuals who contributed to this campaign and made this center a reality. Their generosity has not only built a strong foundation, but also has ensured these much-needed services will continue for years to come."
