Diabetes and Nutrition Education Center Hosts Team Type 1 Event

Ames, IA-On Wednesday, May 12, the Mary Greeley Medical Center Diabetes and Nutrition Education Center will host Bradford Gildon, a Team Type 1 (TT1) member, for a presentation about the advances in diabetes medicine and technology. The program begins at 6:30 p.m. in Diabetes and Nutrition Education Classroom 1 and includes light refreshments.

Gildon, the event's guest speaker, is a competing member of TT1 Triathlon and has lived with Type 1 diabetes since age 11. Gildon is a radiography professor at the University of Oklahoma.

Aside from diabetes-related information, attendees will also receive free TT1 membership cards, meter upgrades and diabetes education materials. Health care professionals will be available to answer questions.
