Thank you for supporting the 2017 Hope Gala!

Benefiting the William R. Bliss Cancer Center

Thank You!

We are overwhelmed and humbled by the great generosity and compassion of our community who have come together in a tremendous way to support the William R. Bliss Cancer Center!

Nearly 380 people gathered on April 22 at the Hope Gala to celebrate in support of the William R. Bliss Cancer Center, and many more donors contributed in advance to make our auctions and gift card pull a success. Thank you - we couldn't have done it without you!

Together we raised more than $163,000 in support of our cancer programs, including almost $60,000 in support of the Cancer Care Navigation Program (view our video below!). An additional $45,000 in in-kind gifts were donated to the auction, gift card pull and prizes. Many thanks to our wonderful sponsors who also contributed $64,000 in funds and in-kind support for the William R. Bliss Cancer Center.

With your support our navigators and the team at the William R. Bliss Cancer Center will continue to help patients, caregivers and families throughout their cancer journeys, and will be there for them every step of the way.

Thank you again for your support, and we look forward to sharing with you the impact of your giving! Please visit our Facebook page to view photos of this year’s event.

Watch the special video in support of the Cancer Care Navigation Program at the William R. Bliss Cancer Center. The special appeal at this year's Hope Gala raised nearly $60,000 in support of this great program - thank you!

Special thanks to Lyle and Gloria Herrold for telling us about their journey in the video and the upcoming issue of Health Connect magazine. Additional thanks to ISU student Mitchell Meyers for sharing his story at the event.

About the Cancer Care Navigation Program

Cancer care navigators focus on assisting patients, caregivers and families in "navigating" their health care. As part of the multi-disciplinary team they connect patients to all support services necessary for comprehensive, compassionate care.

Navigators build relationships with the patient and their families. They help patients understand their diagnosis and treatment plan, and they offer encouragement and assistance.
