A Need Realized

Diabetes awareness inspires Ames couple's gift.

Dan and Sharon Krieger have a long history with Ames and Mary Greeley Medical Center. Due to their involvement with the hospital, the Kriegers were deeply aware of the need and potential impact of a diabetes and nutrition center in the community.

"The Diabetes and Nutrition Education Center is a wonderful educational resource that will help people with diabetes, their families and so many others learn about nutrition," says Sharon. "It will be part of the effort to slow the spread of the disease and keep it from impacting future generations."

The Kriegers have joined the many other couples and individuals in the Greeley Society by making this gift through their estate. "We wanted to make sure our support made an impact for generations to come and a gift through our estate made that possible," says Dan. "Joining the Greeley Society allows us to share our commitment to the community and show our proud support of the medical center."
