William R. Bliss Cancer Center's Couples Celebrating Life Retreat Weekend

You're invited to get away!

We would like to invite couples living with metastatic cancers to join us for a weekend of education, meditation, recreation and refreshment.

In addition to your health, metastatic cancer can affect you and your partner’s daily routines, quality of life and relationship. You’ll receive support and encouragement from medical professionals for dealing with these effects. Take this opportunity to ask questions, express concerns and offer support to your partner and your peers.

We’ll take time out to enjoy good food and company. You can also relax and indulge in a complimentary massage by licensed massage therapists.

This FREE retreat includes meals, lodging, use of the facility and educational programs. For more information, contact Mary Ellen Carano at 515-956-6410 or carano@mgmc.com.

Thoughts from past participants

"A special thanks for seeing the need for a retreat and a program that allowed couples to share their concerns and hopes in a beautiful, homey place that gave us the feeling of family. Not only were the women able to share and encourage one another, but our husbands had their own special time of sharing." –Barbara Scheuermann

"It has been an extraordinary experience—the opportunity to listen to others that are going through very similar experiences to the ones I’ve encountered in this journey and the ability to get all the information that will help me to try to live an improved life due to the knowledge brought to us this weekend." –Christianne Anderson

This program has been made possible by the support of the many donors of the Mary Greeley Medical Center Foundation.
