Foundation Board Presents $750,000 Check to Medical Center

Foundation Board President John Langeland presented a check for $750,000 to the medical center in January. These funds were made possible through the Campaign to Reach, Teach and Treat, which raised nearly $1.9 million to support the Diabetes and Nutrition Education Center. The funds will support construction costs and the remainder will be used to establish an endowment for ongoing expenses. Variety Grant Supports Newborns at Mary Greeley Medical Center

When a newborn is in respiratory distress, seconds count. A grant from Variety - The Children's Charity has allowed the purchase of special equipment used in neonatal resuscitation that will truly make a difference for babies in need. The $11,735 grant was awarded in September 2009 at Variety's annual awards ceremony. With the new equipment purchased, each room is now equipped to accommodate a delivery requiring resuscitation, ensuring that each newborn has the best possible care available when every second counts.

Each year Variety - The Children's Charity supports thousands of child related organizations and individual children in need, and Mary Greeley Medical Center is proud to partner with them to improve the lives of children in our communities.
