    Presented by Judy Pick, RPSGT, RRT, supervisor, Mary Greeley Medical Center Neurodiagnostics. Everyone deserves a good night’s sleep but not all of us get one. Come to this program to receive tips on how to sleep better, and how to get to and stay asleep. Information on advanced sleep phase syndrome will also be covered.

  • Alzheimer's Support Group

    The Alzheimer's support group is a gathering of family, friends, and caregivers of individuals that suffer from Alzheimer's disease and other related forms of dementia.

  • Ames Blood Donor Center at Mary Greeley Medical Center

    Donations to The Blood Center of Iowa's Mary Greeley Donor Center help support the medical center's blood needs for patient treatment.

  • Bereavement Support Group: Circle of Hope

    This group of women meets the first Monday of the month from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Please call for meeting place.

  • Bereavement Support Group: Men's Coffee

    This group meets at Perkins restaurant, 325 S. Duff Ave., Ames, the third Monday of the month from 7:30 to 9 a.m.

  • Bereavement Support Group: Six-Week Group

    A six-week program for people who have experienced a loss through death. Offered three times per year at the Israel Family Hospice House. Please call for dates.

  • Birthways Tour (OB)

    This class provides the attendee with an explanation of services provided at MGMC Birthways and a walking tour of our facility and the Birthways Unit.

  • Breastfeeding Class

    Information about what to expect during the beginning days of breastfeeding will be discussed to help make breastfeeding a positive experience. Current information on breast feeding will be presented.

  • Breastfeeding Support Group

    Breastfeeding is your baby’s best start. Bring your baby to our Breastfeeding Support Group to share and learn in a friendly supportive atmosphere.

    An accelerated childbirth class for parents on the go. . Topics include: labor, delivery, breathing and relaxation tecniques, medications, epidurals, and medical procedures. A hospital tour is part of this class.

    This one-day presentation covers driver's safety. Learn about the normal changes of aging and the effects it may have on driving. Cost is $15 for AARP members and $20 for all others (make checks payable to AARP) and may entitle participants to an insurance premium discount.
