Description

At the conclusion of the program, learners will be able to:

1)    Understand the pathogenesis and epidemiology of C. difficile

2)    Recognize the advantages and disadvantages of CDI testing methods

3)    Choose the best treatment options for CDI

4)    Understand strategies for C difficile control

 

Professional practice gap that will be addressed:  Diagnosis of C. difficile is difficult and treatment is often not ideal.

Target audience:  Physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, health care administrators
