To refresh and update care providers on the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of patients with hematologic and/or oncologic emergencies.

Description

At the conclusion of the activity, learners will be able to:

1)    Identify a Hematology/Oncology emergency

2)    Provide initial treatment for a patient with a hematology/oncology emergency

3)    Know when to obtain hematology/oncology or other consult for a patient with a hematology/oncology emergency

Overall goal: To refresh and update care providers on the diagnosis, evaluation and treatment of patients with hematologic and/or oncologic emergencies.

Target audience: Physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, health care administrators
