At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

1)    discuss current strategies on heart failure in the U.S.

2)    recognize the importance of early detection, aggressive treatment and close monitoring

3)    understanding scoring systems for advanced heart failure

4)    discuss current state of heart failure therapies

5)    understand management of heart failure with preserved LV Systolic Function

6)    understand when a discussion of palliative care is appropriate
