Primary care physicians will learn what to include in the initial evaluation of patients with chronic diarrhea, constipation, anemia, Hepatitis C prior to GI referral, along with the guideline for colorectal cancer screening.

Description

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

1)    initiate a clinical workup for diarrhea, constipation, anemia, Hepatitis C, and risk-based colon cancer screening.

2)    describe the indications for endoscopic ultrasound, enteroscopy, Barrett's esophagus ablation.

Professional practice gap to be addressed: Primary care physicians will learn what to include in the initial evaluation of patients with chronic diarrhea, constipation, anemia, Hepatitis C prior to GI referral, along with the guideline for colorectal cancer screening.

Target audience: Physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, health care administrators
