The presentation will allow primary care providers to better understand modern treatment modalities and decision making related to several common head and neck disorders in order to better understand which patients would benefit from specialist referral and to better counsel patients.

At the conclusion of the activity, learners will be able to:

1)      Describe how the management of throat cancer has changed over the past several years.

2)      Describe new developments in sinus surgery.

3)      Understand new therapeutic uses of botulinum toxin in the head and neck

Professional practice gap to be addressed: The presentation will allow primary care providers to better understand modern treatment modalities and decision making related to several common head and neck disorders in order to better understand which patients would benefit from specialist referral and to better counsel patients.

Target audience: Physicians, mid-level providers, nurses
