Description

At the conclusion of the activity, learners will be able to:

1)    describe the frequency of foreign body ingestion

2)    discuss the management according to the foreign body

3)    be familiar with management according to the location of the foreign body

Professional practice gap addressed: Increase awareness about the significance of certain foreign body ingestions, like magnets.

Overall goal: Become familiar with management and consequences of foreign body ingestion.

Target audience: Physicians, mid-level providers, nurses

    Safe SitterĀ® is a national, medically accurate babysitting training program taught by certified Safe SitterĀ®-trained instructors. The 2-day program is designed to prepare young adolescents for the responsibilities of babysitting.
