This presentation will update practitioners on the newly released DSM-5 criteria for anxiety and mood disorders and will also review the most recent recommendations on the frontline treatment of these disorders.

Description

At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

1)    recognize and diagnose the most common types of anxiety disorders and mood disorders as described by DSM-5.

2)    Initiate appropriate psychopharmacologic treatments in patients who present with uncomplicated anxiety or mood disorders.

Professional practice gap to be addressed: This presentation will update practitioners on the newly released DSM-5 criteria for anxiety and mood disorders and will also review the most recent recommendations on the frontline treatment of these disorders.

    An accelerated childbirth class for parents on the go. . Topics include: labor, delivery, breathing and relaxation tecniques, medications, epidurals, and medical procedures. This class does include a hospital Tour.
