The three-hour classes are for adults with newly diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes who are not currently taking insulin. Prior to the start of classes, participants need an initial assessment by a diabetes educator and a physician referral for insurance coverage. To accommodate busy schedules, participants may combine the day and evening classes. Family members and significant others are welcome to join.
Dates and Times
Type 2 Diabetes classes are offered during both day and evening. (9 a.m.-12 p.m., 1-4 p.m., or 5-8 p.m.) Participants may attend at various times to accomodate busy schedules.
