Type 2 Diabetes classes are offered during both day and evening. (9 a.m.-12 p.m., 1-4 p.m., or 5-8 p.m.) Participants may attend at various times to accomodate busy schedules.

Fees & Payment

A physician referral is required for insurance coverage.

Description

The three-hour classes are for adults with newly diagnosed Type 2 Diabetes who are not currently taking insulin. Prior to the start of classes, participants need an initial assessment by a diabetes educator and a physician referral for insurance coverage. To accommodate busy schedules, participants may combine the day and evening classes. Family members and significant others are welcome to join.

    Learn about managing portion sizes for healthy living. Make use of the “Plate Method” of meal planning to manage eating patterns at home and when eating out.

  • 08/05/14 - Women's Health Issues

    Women’s health/fitness to improve mobility & sense of well being. Katie Albrecht will discuss how to improve overall health.
