Volunteering is a great way for youth to learn responsibility, give back to the community, and gain skills for future employment. Youth volunteers learn first hand what it is like to make a difference in the lives of our patients, visitors and staff.
Valet Assistant
Work with valet staff to assist in customer service by answering phone requests, lining up tickets, and responding to customers.
Requirements
12 years old, or have completed 6th grade
Customer Service Oriented, ability to multi-task, good communication skills.
Completed youth application, and attend one orientation session with a parent/guardian.
Must complete TB testing and furnish immunization records.
Scheduling
Weekdays: 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.; 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.; 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
Commitment
Summer: minimum of four shifts

Information Desk
Working with an adult volunteer, you will be greeting patients, families, and visitors; escorting guests throughout the medical center; helping with registration; and much more!

Clerical Support
Learn valuable office skills while volunteering. Making copies, filing, stuffing envelopes, and making phone calls are just the beginning to this multifaceted assignment.

Gift Shop
Work with the Gift Shop staff and volunteers by providing excellent customer service, delivering flowers and cheer cards, answering the phone, restocking gifts and candy, cleaning display cases, and unpacking and pricing new stock.
