At the conclusion of the activity, learners will be able to:

1)    Understand shoulder anatomy including the course of the Suprascapular Nerve

2)    Gain an appreciation for the evolving techniques in Rotator Cuff repair

3)    Understand the indications for clavicle fracture ORIF

Professional practice gap to be addressed: There are new techniques and trends in orthopedic shoulder surgery (backed by research) that the non-orthopedist should be aware of going forward into the 21st Century.

Overall goal: Discuss evolving techniques and treatment options for shoulder injuries.

Target audience: Physicians, mid-level providers, nurses, physical therapists, athletic trainers, coaches, health care administrators
