Heart Attack

A heart attack (also called AMI or acute myocardial infarction) happens when the arteries leading to the heart become blocked and the blood supply is slowed or stopped. Heart Attack Measures provide information for some of the standards of care provided for most adults who have had a heart attack.

Patient Perception

HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) is a national, standardized survey of hospital patients. HCAHPS Measures represent responses from a random sample of recently discharged patients about important aspects of their hospital experience.

Surgical Care Improvement Project (SCIP)

Hospitals can reduce the risk of wound infection after surgery by making sure patients get the right medicines at the right time. Surgical Care Measures provide information for some of the standards of care provided for patient who have had certain surgeries.

Heart Failure

Heart Failure is a weakening of the heart's pumping power. Heart Failure Measures provide information for some of the standards of care provided for most adults with heart failure.

Pneumonia

Pneumonia is a serious lung infection that causes difficulty breathing, fever, cough and fatigue. Pneumonia Measures provide information for some of the recommended treatments for pneumonia.

Home Health

Home Health Measures provide information about patient's physical and mental health, and whether their ability to perform basic daily activities improves.
