Experiences of a Lifetime
Kick off a new year with two stories guaranteed to move and inspire you.
Kim Townsend and Lars Tjelta have both been treated for serious health issues at Mary Greeley Medical Center. But it’s what they’ve done in spite of those challenges that makes their stories so special.
Townsend, a cancer survivor, traveled thousands of miles from home for a spiritual journey that found her scaling a mountain with a backpack full of prayers. Tjelta, who has a blood disorder, got on a plane for the first time in over two decades for an emotion-filled visit to the memorials that stand in tribute to veterans like him.
After surviving cancer three times, an Ames woman takes on an intensely physical and spiritual journey.
